Well the fog lifted and we went and enjoyed all the attractions of Dover Castle including the Excellent Secret Wartime Tunnels, the Keep, the Saxon Church and Roman Lighthouse!
A veritable feast of history, so much so we joined English Heritage on the spot! Only £65 for the year and the price of admission refunded (came to 2 x £9.50 = £19.00 back!)
so now when we want to have a picnic it's free to get in and with 410 other places around the UK!
