after a successful trip to Liverpool where the show was captioned really well and I went out with one of my Xbox buddies and got absolutely leathered
I knew it was going to be a good night when I arrived at his pub (he's a licensee) and the barmaid said "You Jake?", when I replied in the affirmative she got me a free pint, which was the way it was to be for the whole night! He's a good lad is my mate and he really took me out on the town! Respect
only slightly marred by waking up, in the morning, 25 minutes after my train had left.....
after a journey from Liverpool to London to Ashford to Canterbury which only slightly broke my sleep
I finally arrived at work, driven by our lass here, with a clean T- shirt, trousers and, most importantly, my work keys and miraculously NO hangover! ![]()
anyway before I go and have some wonderful sleep I have to warn you about the gales and winds and rain that's coming tomorrow night and Monday- here's a quote from UK Press Association
Flood warning as UK braced for storms
Forecasters have warned of coastal flooding along the length of the UK as spring tides coincide with what could be the strongest storm of the winter.
People are being warned to stay inside on Sunday night and avoid unnecessary journeys, with winds of up to 80mph expected to tear through parts of the country.
A band of exceptionally low pressure was forecast to bring heavy rain and severe gales across the country, forecasters say.
The unsettled weather is expected to climax on Monday morning when the deepening low-pressure system swings east across the UK, with severe weather warnings being issued.
Brian Golding, head of forecasting at the Met Office, said: "The arrival of this exceptionally deep area of low pressure is expected to coincide with spring tides on Monday, bringing the risk of flooding to western coasts stretching from southern England to northern Scotland."
The storm also brings the risk of disruption to transport and power supply networks, with winds strong enough to uproot trees and damage buildings, according to forecasters.
But at this stage they are not predicting the weather will be as severe as the devastating storm of October 1987.
MeteoGroup senior meteorologist Stephen Davenport said: "This could well be the strongest storm of the winter."
so be careful out there!
