Malta
@ Sunday, 28. Jun, 2009 – 10:18:50
We're both sat here in an internet cafe waiting for a taxi, in two hours, to take us to the airport to fly home.
We've had such a great time we've already arranged to come back in August for Sarah's birthday

We've taken hundreds of photos which we will post later in the week- I start 4 x 12 hour days on Monday so will be a tad busy until then....
We've been snorkelling, swimming with fishes, bussing on those cute yellow buses, drinking to our heart's content, eating like royalty and most of all we seem to have missed most of this stupid furore over a dead popstar.
Can I officially say "we don't care."
And that's all we're saying...
We would be outside sunbathing but I'm carrying around my macbook pro in its case as no luggage locker is secure enough for me!
Plus I packed the suncream away already....
*coughs*
We have been good with the sun and the only time we got burnt, slightly, wasn't our fault, honest guvnor...
We did manage to see the new Terminator film too and it's great! Maybe it will need a few sittings to fully appreciate it but the film does the franchise proud (ignoring of course Terminator 3- pile of wank)
Anyway I've checked all my emails, work, home, business etc and all seems fine in the world and our absence hasn't caused too much of the world to stop...
until we get back and settle back into that grind that is work I'll say au revoir....

A Day of Days
@ Wednesday, 17. Jun, 2009 – 12:23:06
Today is a grand day for many reasons:
The iPhone software update 3.0 is released (though not yet it seems as the lazy Americans are still in bed) - this give's us MMS capability, the ability to cut, copy and paste and other useful things
that should have come with the fucking phone in the first placeI packed my suitcase for holiday! - It's a lot lighter than last year as this time I'm taking 6 pairs of shorts, 12 T-shirts and a pair of crocs. If the weather's bad we're stuffed but as I speak it's 30 degrees there so I think we'll be OK.
I emptied the hoover- something I do once every blue moon :-) It was slightly full but no more!

I've got nothing left to do at work - You know all those things you have to do before you go on holiday, well I've done the lighting design, done 2 rotas and now just have 5 shows to do before we leave for holiday. Nice.So I sit here sipping perfect temperature loose leaf organic lapsang souchong tea with a grin of happiness.

Losing Track of Days
@ Wednesday, 10. Jun, 2009 – 20:08:16
Working Sunday's and having Mon and Tues off has messed with my head- I have no idea what day it is and to make it worse I've got tomorrow off too! Not that that's a bad thing- well if the weather gets better as today has been dismal- slow drive home in rear wheel drive car....

I have just had my last BSL lesson until my last exam in a months time- ARGHHHHH I am designing the lights for 2 shows and we're off to Malta and then I'm projecting a film!- Must get some practice in or I will not do well. Still haven't got the results from my last exam ...
Now I've come home and Sarah's not here as she's having her hair done at her mate's , so I'm watching Spiderman 3 as it's on Sky Movies and it's a great film...
it looks especially stunning on the big LCD too

Neighbour apologises and I'm healthy
@ Monday, 08. Jun, 2009 – 12:16:03
Being in a healthy productive mood and full of my mantra " Life's too short to sleep," I got up at 9:30 and went for a run.
Usually this involves me running on the treadmill in the gym at work, but this time I ran by the side of the beach and the golf course and it was gorgeous and infinitely more interesting!

Thirty minutes later I stop- I could have ran more but I think 30 mins is about right - I then have 15 mins left to walk back home to cool down...feel all good and healthy now.
Decide to go get some more holiday shorts and t-shirts and as I leave the house I see the mad parking neighbour by his car-
He looks at me
I look at himAnd he comes over and says he's really sorry about the other day, he'd had a bad day and he was wrong!!!
I nearly fell over with shock! But duly shook hands etc etc- How about that for a turn around, perhaps the police scared him

It's gorgeous here today so I took the opportunity to take the lid off the Lotus and rag her all the way to the shops

happy days

Work, Days Off, Unions, Banks and Sarah Reaches Level 80!
@ Saturday, 06. Jun, 2009 – 13:04:29
I've got some weird working patterns coming up- this week I've had Friday and now Saturday off then working all day Sunday with Monday and Tuesday off!
I'm in Wednesday and Friday 9 - 5 with Thursday off but working all day and night Saturday and Sunday!
Then the week after I'm doing 18:00 to 23:00 all week - the mind boggles... luckily after this we're off to sunny Malta so things are looking good..
Other news is SARAH GOT TO LEVEL 80 in World of Warcraft last night!!!! - That is as high a level as anyone can get, now she just needs to get lots of good gear and experience and we will be the best fighting force in town. Her being 80 means me and her can now go to the same places etc as I've been 80 for some time and it's a bit like the House of Lords - cliquey, exclusive and sometimes it smells like wee.
Watch this for a taste of the action WotLK Video
other things looking good are the arrival of 2 cards- one my cashcard, as it was running out, and the other, my UNITE membership cardUNITE being my newly joined union as my wonderful employers are trying to take my 10% salary uplift away (for working unsocial hours) because they say working nights and Saturdays and Sundays are no longer unsocial. Like to see them do a 9:00 to 23:00 Sunday shift and say it's not fucking unsocial! Cards are being put on tables and a revolution is forming.
Talking about fuckwits, this morning I took 5 x £20 of pound coins and two pound coins (saved up) to put into the bank for Sarah, so she can then take the money out for buying Euros for holiday. Get to the counter and the bloke says -
" Can't pay anything in with that, she needs a current account " (it is one btw),
I say " That's bollocks, SHE has a current account I just want to pay this money in. "
FUCKWIT says " well you can't with that account."
I say - "well that's SHIT isn't it?"
and leave before I ram lots of english currency pound coins up his tight camp arseI have paid money into that account lots of times, it was obviously his time of the month so I end this with what I really wanted to say at the counter
FUCK YOU HALIFAX

World of Warcraft Level 80 Race
@ Thursday, 04. Jun, 2009 – 18:13:51
Sarah and her brother are both very close to level 80 (the top level) in World of Warcraft so now it seems it's just a race to see who can get there first.
Sarah's brother has the distinct advantage of being a student and being able to play about 12 hours a day!
Sarah's got 4 hours tonight to try and get there!!
Wish her luck!

2 Dead Fish
@ Tuesday, 02. Jun, 2009 – 19:24:44
just had some mackerel and it was lovely but I had too much so I wastefully threw 2 in the bin and as they belly-upped in the bin I felt guilty that they died for nothing... I could have at least eaten them...
must be the time of the month for me
