after a looooong day at work I went to do my overtime in the cinema to find I had to unduly arduous task of pressing play on a DVD then stop 82 minutes later!
normally I have to lace up the film, adjust the masking, sound levels, constantly monitor when a new reel enters the gate etc etc- not this time ...
though out of habit when the music changed I kept having a look at the screen...
I love BFI nights ![]()
apart from that I was running round like a headless chicken all day and in the tiny break I had I rang the house people to confirm our completion date of 6th November...
HOORAY!!!
Sarah did her bit by ringing the solicitor and talking to our lovely landlord who's coming to visit us this Friday ...
I have a cunning plan that will either work or not. Basically we have a washing machine, fridge, cooker, tumble dryer, shelves and my Sony CRT TV that we don't need to take to the new place and I will propose to our landlord that they keep the gear and let us off for the two weeks we will owe in rent for staying a little longer...
having a slightly furnished flat might make our old flat more attractive to people looking to rent (plus for our landlord) and for us we don't have the hassle of selling everything on eBay. Considering the price we paid 3 years ago is about a grand and a half for everything bar the TV (cost me £680 6 yrs ago) I think it's a bargain!
of course our landlords may have other ideas about what they want to do with the flat so if so we have a tumble dryer, cooker, washing machine, Sony TV, some IKEA shelves and a fridge to sell ... any offers? All 3 years old bar the TV ...

I'd be interested in the shelves and the dryer but it may be a problem getting them over here!
