I CLEARLY STATED on my auctions that everything being sold had to be picked up tomorrow.

Just sent reminders to everyone and right away some knob emails me that he never read the auction properly and he can't pick up until Saturday!

So I've emailed the Second Highest Bidder and offered it to him. Here's hoping they take the bait or I'm lugging a fridge down 4 flights of stairs!

I'm amazed by some stupid people on eBay. On ALL the items I'm selling I have in TWO places this statement " Items won must be moved by Wednesday 11th November."

SO I get a message:

" If I win the auction can I pick up on Friday 13th?"

NO!

FUCK OFF YOU STUPID STUPID STUPID PRICK! - Was what I wanted to say, what I did say was:

" I suggest you cancel your bid as I'm moving Thursday so won't be here. It was clearly stated on the auction"

Guess what?

He'd not even bid on the item.

Most of my auctions finish tonight and they all have bids so fingers crossed all will be gone by Wednesday...

To those on Facebook I apologise for repeating a post but we have GRASS!!!! There wasn't meant to be any but they've put some in...

Sarah spent the morning waiting for the bamboo flooring to arrive (it did) and our handyman will be putting the floor down from Monday all ready for us to move on Thursday.

I've put everything we don't need on eBay including:

1 x electric cooker
1 x tumble dryer
1 x washing machine
1 x fridge
3 x BF Goodrich G Force Profiler tyres

let's just hope they go for a decent price as I've put no reserve on everything...

to be honest anything is better than nothing, they are in the way here

anyway I've spent my entire day showing cartoons for an animation festival from 09:30 until 20:00 then I showed District 9 which is a great film, finally finishing at 23:00.

Different but great with a brilliant last 20 minutes ...

I show it again Monday so will give it another look see if it gets better...

right I'm in work for 10:00 tomorrow morning so I'd better sign off and go get some sleep...

Sarah picked them up before as we completed this morning. Don't know much yet as she's going to ring me at 20:00 to tell me how it felt.

I'm working 12 hours tomorrow so won't be able to go in until Sunday or Monday night. Better order those blinds!

Well it's bonfire night and I've got no bonfires to go to or really want to as Sarah's working late again and I don't like going to places without her on my arm...

and it's warm inside ...

I finished work at 4pm, spent 1 hour making a Openoffice presentation for tomorrow when I'm part of the big university showcase of the "non-academic" departments... We will look the best!

then home and I was asked by Sarah to sort out our storage boxes as (quote unquote)

SARAH: "Every box we have is full of wires of some sort"

so I've took 4 boxes and made them into one with the help of two bin bags and 2 cans of Stella.

Today I actually spoke to our solicitor about our completion TOMORROW! She was very calm and not excited at all and by this time tomorrow we should be the proud owners of our new flat.

I won't believe it until the keys are in my hand.

Moving. On a jet plane ...

OK OK I know it's not a perfect rendition of the song but hey ...

today has been very strange. I awoke at 01:30 ish when Sarah got back home and came to bed. "with a jump" Sarah said...

I have no recollection as I was asleep.

Got up at 07:40 and went and picked up one of my techies as she crashed her car the day earlier and she's on the way in.

Got to work at 09:30 but couldn't start as with the European Work Time Directive I have to have an 11 hour break between shifts... so I started at 10:00...

easy day, all sorted, done dusted, gave Techie life back home...

pizza from Sainsbury's and then blokes turn up and take away my lovely SONY Trinitron TV that cost me £680 six years ago and today went for the bargain price of £45! And I was lucky to get that...

now just the fridge, tumble dryer, cooker and washer to sell in a week...

now tomorrow I was in early but I managed to get some time to do the rota so I'm not in until 13:30 which means Sarah and I might actually see each other...

it's pretty lonely in here without her....

today I had an easy time, long but easy. I started at 11:00 and finished at 23:00 but the last film I showed I even got someone else to press play due to circumstances beyond my control ...

now come home and off to bed soon though Sarah's not back yet from her first night shift... she should be back in about an hour (now 00:40) - I'm up at 7am so off to bed.

now that I've selfishly (well it is my blog) mentioned what I've done here's a picture to maybe jog someone's memory to help us find her and bring her back to the UK

I've Started the Packing & Pumpkins

Yesterday I stood in our new flat and measured up all the windows for blinds and discussed with our flooring bloke what we wanted.

We're going for a coffee strand woven bamboo floor throughout (apart from bathrooms) and hopefully it'll be finished BEFORE we move in.

apart from the joy of standing in our brand new fully fitted flat I felt the pain of packing all our gear away - again.

so i went and paid the movers (£555 down from £624) - thank fuck for all that overtime, picked up the boxes and tape
and got down to some serious packing.

I've now packed:

Books - 6 boxes
CD's - 1 box - thank the lord for iTunes!
DVD's - 3 boxes - NOT the Blu Rays yet
NAD amp
NAD CD player
Kef Speakers x 2 ( for above )
Wii Fit - used it twice

next to pack today are:

Wii
Xbox 360
Etrex GPS
Wii, Xbox 360 and DS games
My stones - before you ask, I have a habit of picking up stones from beaches I've been to, some small and some large and over the last 15 years I've got quite a selection. Sarah's letting me keep them for the garden

so I can't procrastinate any longer on here ...

then later we're going shopping for the week and getting our big fat pumpkin

Today I was in early and worked really hard all day until 17:00... then I moved to the cinema and had the dubious glory of getting overtime pressing play on a DVD for a film...

not my fault they don't do a 35ml version of it

now I'm home with the pitiful total of 3 Stella in the fridge!

tomorrow I'm not in until 21:30 so I'm meeting our new Best Friend - a handyman who's willing to put our bamboo floor down , in the new flat, for £100 per day.

I'm meeting him at our new flat as I'm measuring up the blinds anyway...

sounds like a deal, though ...

this bloody postal strike may fuck up our completion date as no fucking mail is being delivered- thanks Royal Mail- not the workers on strike but the twats like Royal Mail's CEO who gets 1.25 million pound a year to fuck our post up...

if Royal Mail don't cock it up we should be completing next Friday 6th November ...

moving in 12th November- I managed to get the removal cost down from £624 to £555 by just sending an email

anyway 2 Stella left and there's still some life in me...

bloody hell a Monday night off! Not that I'm moaning about doing the last month of Monday nights- it's paying for our move!

after the marathon film showing yesterday I had an easy day today just one kids show at 14:00 and a PA drop off at 16:00.

now we've got roast duck in the oven with goose fat smothered potatoes and sprouts and gravy to come- Sunday dinner on a monday night ...

had another quote for the move today - £800!! Thieving bastards. So I've emailed the original company to see if they are willing to negotiate on the price...

well to be more precise - Jake shows the films whilst Sarah keeps him company.

I'm being a projectionist today to cover our projectionist leaving and the new ones starting... it's overtime so I don't mind and Sarah's come along for the ride.

I don't usually blog from work but the film's running, the other one's rewinding and I thought i'd have the time as this film finishes in 123 minutes!

we have been here since 12:30 and will leave just after 23:00 so it's a long slog!

now I could just sleep ...

we spent ages trying to get my old G4 mac online (I gave it to Sarah), including manually inputting the settings, trying to share my net connection, everything but it would not assign a proper IP. Then I just plugged it into the wall with a cable and it worked- DOH!

that's what you get for overly complicating things!

then when we were both online we played Facebook Scrabble! Who needs a board? Great fun indeed...

now after sipping some Peppermint tea ( I'm still feeling a little poorly) we've got nothing to do for 2 hours until the film ends then we can go home. So working on a Sunday isn't too bad when we can be together like this

only thing different is no beer!

still overtime at work, Sarah and Sunday's are a good mix

Not Got a High Temperature

sure sign of Swine Flu is a high temperature and I have not got one

just bought a shiny digital thermometer from Boots (they never had a traditional one- £8.99 thieving bastards) and my temperature is 36.7˚C!

so I don't have H1N1!

I'll take another reading in half an hour but looks like I'm safe and just have food poisoning or something ...

still feel like shit warmed up but as long as I don't have the flu I'm OK

I'm Never Ill Me

that's something I'm quite proud of- my lack of a Doctor and the fact I've been working for my current employer for 3.5 years and have never had a day off sick.

I've gone into work with concussion (I only found out afterwards!) and with a severely sprained ankle but none of it has affected my work in the past 3.5 years...

now my fear is this Swine Flu thing as it's meant to be all consuming and to wipe you out completely and I'd have to have some time off...

why am I mentioning it? - well according to the government online assessment I should take a week off work and take the anti viral drugs!

This week and next week are the busiest weeks of the year at my works...

not a time to be sick- Now I reckon the website is talking bollocks as I don't have a high temperature so reckon I'm not flu-ey enough. I don't have a snivelly nose, my throat is only a little sore and I just feel a little woolly.

I have been working silly hours recently so I think I might just be a little run down...

I'm certainly not taking a week off work unless I really can't get out of bed, a bit of a stomach ache and a bit of ear ache are not reasons to take time off work in my opinion.

I know you might think " But if you have Swine Flu you will be infecting everyone at work" well when and if I cannot get out of bed I'll regret that decision but until then I'm fit for work ...

The Government website must be wrong as I have NO flu symptoms just the conditions above...

and remember I'm never ill me

(if I now die from H1N1 virus in the future you all have the right to say "I told you so!" )

no reason for the "bloody" bit but it looked good...

only did 10:30 until 16:30 today and it was a really easy good natured day ...

managed to stop on the way home for some Stella for me and Cider for Sarah

arrived home just in time to see Sarah get out of the Polo- top timing

did I mention it passed it's MOT the other day with only a changed wiper blade! Bloody miracle as last year I had to change ALL the tyres - one was so bad the guy told me not to drive it away *coughs* oops...

better this year then!

just cooked meatballs and fusilli so now feeling rather full with a sore left eye

as I just rubbed my chilli finger into my eye OWWWWWWW

I worked with a great person in the morning.

Helped with interviews in the afternoon where my opinion counted.

Projected a brilliant film called Los cronocrímenes ( Timecrimes ) later

now home with a cold (ish) Stella and not in work until 11:00 tomorrow...

went there today and never spent a penny- well not on furniture anyway but we did spend:

£10.80 on two plates of meatballs
£7.00 on Stella x 8
£4.19 on Jose Cuervo Margarita
and about a tenner on petrol so not that cheap a day - the Stella and Margarita is for now not whilst driving!

it helped that we are moving in 3 weeks and we went in the 2 seater Lotus!

we have, incidentally, earmarked about 3 grand on furniture to buy when we have moved - including a corner wardrobe you can hide in!
